to Pwn is a leetspeak slang term, derived from the verb “own”^, as meaning to appropriate or to conquer to gain ownership. The term implies domination or humiliation of a rival used primarily in the Internet gaming culture to taunt an opponent who has just been soundly defeated (e.g. “You just got pwned!”).

Nice Captcha

Short but sweet post here. I was checking some threads on the web forum I frequent, and one of the users there posted a thread in our General Forum where he saw an extremly long CAPTCHA request that was displayed when he wanted to add a friend. Granted, the word that Facebook was using inside the Captcha was a very long one I would have been quick to hit the refresh key to get a new one. (continue reading…)
